Pixel CO2 laser skin resurfacing is the perfect treatment for patients who are unhappy with the current texture and clarity of their skin. These treatments are also beneficial for patients who wish to reduce the appearance of scarring or stretchmarks.

It’s important to note Pixel CO2 laser skin resurfacing treatments may not be recommended to patients with deeper skin tones or active skin conditions, as treatment may lead to changes in skin pigmentation and texture. We encourage you to talk to your aesthetician before scheduling your first laser skin resurfacing treatment.

Before your treatment begins, your aesthetician will gently cleanse the treatment area. A topical anesthetic may be applied to the treatment area to ensure you remain comfortable throughout the treatment.

Once comfortable, a handheld device will be gently passed over the skin of the treatment area. During the session, you may feel warmth in the areas the laser treats. Patients typically do not find the sensation to be uncomfortable.

Once your treatment is complete, a serum or ointment may be applied to the skin to promote healthy healing. A bandage may also be placed on the treated area to reduce irritation while healing. Your aesthetician will provide you with detailed post-treatment care instructions.

For the first week following your treatment, you will notice your skin beginning to heal. This may take place in the form of peeling or flaking of the treated skin. Patients may also find their face to be red and tender, similar to the sensation of a sunburn. This is completely normal. We ask all patients to reduce their exposure to the sun during the healing period. Side effects generally resolve on their own within a week or two of treatment.

After the healing period, patients find their skin refreshed and glowing. It’s important to note that some patients may require multiple treatment sessions to achieve their desired results.
